Synopsis
As part of the launch of this portfolio site and after the success I had with last years Christmas Target novel cover, I decided to attempt one this year. Although details where sketchy, I've managed to convey what I have seen of 'The Runaway bride' so far and adapt it to an old style cover. Keen to keep the usage of publicity shots to a minimum, only David Tennant is used, Catherine Tate was adapted from a non-Who shot and the TARDIS chase scene is depicted. To finish off I added sonic screwdriver concentric circles and a flat colour palette and gave the title a typical 1970's feel; "Doctor Who and the Spider Empress".
